Carers Manchester has three locality partnerships: North, South, and Central. Each of these localities work to identify unpaid carers and improve services in their community.

The Carers Manchester localities work with professionals to improve services to carers, and work closely with Integrated Neighbourhood Teams, GP Practices, Primary Care organisations and a range of local organisations to create carer friendly neighbourhoods, and link carers to activities in their local areas to improve their health and wellbeing.

This enables unpaid carers in the community to be recognised, receive advice, guidance and support early on in their caring journey. We are also working with diverse communities and BAME organisations to support the development of culturally appropriate services to their community members.

Carers Manchester Central

The African Caribbean Care Group (ACCG) is the Central Locality Lead for unpaid Carers and Parent Carers within Central Manchester, supported by our partner the African and Caribbean Mental Health Service (ACMHS).

As the central locality lead, we provide welfare & financial advice, person-centred support & guidance, and respite in the form of overnight stays, day trips, activities, and events.

If you’re caring for a friend, family member, or child and you’re from Moss Side, Hulme, Longsight, Gorton, Ardwick, City Centre, Rusholme, or Levenshulme, we’re here to help.
